James was a veteran of World War II, having served proudly in the Pacific, Aleutian Islands, and in the recovery effort of Nagasaki, Japan. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Lauderdale, FL; 3 sisters: Ella Shafer of Kenova, WV, Dixie Byrd of Burnsville and Susie Lewis of Gastonia; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and, many nieces and nephews. Reece was retired from the Ball Corp. after 32 years of service.
